Shave Forum Participation & Some Reference Material

These are the Shave Forums I participate in. They are very handy for reference and just to hang out with some fellow wet shavers. My Forum ID for all the forums is "qhsdoitall"

The Shave Den - I'm a Moderator on this forum and consider it my wet shaving home. Lots of things to learn here and a ton of fun. Very friendly, open environment. Although hot topics like politics, religion and so on are are allowed, it's not really the place to go to for that. I would suggest going to a forum specializing in those topics.

Shave My Face - An older technology forum but a great place for wet shaving knowledge.

Straight Razor Place - If you want to learn about straight razor shaving, this is the place to go although, you will find some excellent wet shaving experts on The Shave Den forum.

Badger & Blade - One of the biggest wet shaving forums on the internet. Lots of reference material and a place to get some great deals on wet shaving items in their classified section. However, the social environment is less than ideal and the forum has a lot of visible issues. Many people are migrating from this forum to more socially friendly forums such as The Shave Den.

Technique: WTG/45XTG/Cleanup
Post Shave
Aftershave: Floid Italian Style Aftershave
Moisturizer: Emu Oil

Result: 4.6/5.0 Superlather Day! Took two "different" scents and put them together to make a nice combo. Talk about thick and rich and everything. This was like day 9 on the Feather ACD-N and it went right through everything. I'm lucky if I can get 3 days on a DE. But that superlather just made it better. I won't switch over to the unguarded blades until I use up the guarded ones first. I kep one in reserve in case. Using the ACD-N has me hunting for a wedge or 1/4 hollow even more. Full hollow ground STR8 blades are tough on me until I get better with them.

Cologne: Ogallala Bay Rum Special Reserve Double Strength Cologne

Result: 4.6/5.0 One tiny weeper from XTG under chin with the Feather ACD-N. I expanding my techniques a little with that razor. Of course, Bay Rum, was the theme of the day as you can see. This was the first time using The Shave Den Bay Rum Soap. Lather and performance passes my standards for a soap with plenty of room to spare.. The scent is very good and natural without being overpowering. No irritation. The Ogallala Bay Rum aftershave and cologne continue to be one of my favorites.
