You can tell by the condition of the tube, I use this frequently even though I have a lot of shave creams lying around. It's has nice thick lather with lanolin and smells just fine. The cushion is very decent and it has some slickness but not as much as a decent tripled milled soap. It can be a bit pricey but if you can get some at a reasonable price, I don't think you'll be disappointed. There are a whole line of products from Claus Porto that work with and enhance this shave cream. I have sample of the aftershave balm and cologne and a bottle of the aftershave. Very nice when used in combination.
